For large equipment like Portal Crane, what are the key points of daily maintenance?

Publish Time: 2024-10-02
1. Metal structure inspection

The metal structure of the portal crane, including the main beam, outriggers and other parts, is the skeleton of the equipment, and its maintenance is crucial. First, check the deformation of the main beam, such as whether the camber and deflection meet the standard requirements. Excessive deformation may affect the load-bearing capacity and stability of the crane, which can be measured regularly with professional measuring tools. For the outrigger part, pay attention to the bolts at the connection parts to check whether there is any looseness, because loose bolts will cause abnormal vibration of the crane during operation, affecting the safety of the overall structure. At the same time, check the anti-corrosion coating on the surface of the metal structure. If there is any damage, it should be repaired in time to prevent the metal structure from rusting and corroding, reducing its strength and service life.

2. Lifting and operating mechanism maintenance

The lifting mechanism is directly related to the safety of cargo lifting. Focus on checking the wire rope to check whether there is broken wire, wear, deformation, etc. The wear and broken wire of the wire rope exceeding a certain limit will greatly increase the risk of breakage, and it needs to be replaced in time according to relevant standards. The brake of the lifting mechanism should not be ignored. Check the wear of the brake pads, the elasticity of the brake springs, and the surface condition of the brake wheel to ensure that the brake can effectively brake and avoid heavy objects falling.
For the running mechanism of the trolley and the car, the key lies in the wheels and tracks. The wheels should be checked for wheel rim wear and tread wear. Severe wear will affect the smoothness and accuracy of operation. The track needs to be checked for deformation, loose bolts, and surface cleanliness. The flatness of the track directly affects the operation effect of the crane. Any track problem may cause the crane to shake or derail.

3. Electrical system maintenance

The electrical system is the control center of the portal crane. In daily maintenance, check whether the electrical components in the electrical control cabinet, such as contactors, relays, fuses, etc., are working properly, and whether their contacts are ablated or adhered. Clean the dust in the electrical control cabinet regularly to prevent dust accumulation from causing short circuits. At the same time, check the condition of the cable, including whether the cable sheath is damaged and whether the cable connector is firm, to ensure the safety of the electrical connection. In addition, the insulation performance of the motor needs to be tested to prevent safety accidents caused by motor leakage.

4. Safety device inspection

Portal Crane is equipped with a variety of safety devices, and the normal operation of these devices is the key to ensuring safety. For example, the overload limiter should be calibrated regularly to ensure that it can accurately measure the lifting weight, issue an alarm in time when overloaded, and limit the lifting action. The limit switch should also be checked for normal function, including lifting height limit, trolley and car travel limit, etc., to prevent the crane from operating beyond the safe range. The windproof device is also important. Check whether its connection is firm and whether it can effectively prevent the crane from being blown by the wind under severe weather conditions to ensure the safety of the equipment and the surrounding environment.
